Community Partnerships
Through strong community partnerships, we build capacity, foster leadership, and create opportunities that support healthier communities

At the Health Centre, we aim to build stronger and more resilient communities. Our community development workers build capacity by:
- Enabling community leadership
- Fostering community identity and a sense of belonging
- Developing community skills and resources
- Building and utilizing structures and relationships
We collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve this work. This includes partnerships with other non-profits, local community members, businesses, schools, and community centres. Together, these collaborations create opportunities to address the social determinants of health, reduce barriers, and promote equity across neighbourhoods.
Through initiatives such as community health fairs, seniors’ conferences, youth programming, and resource-sharing events, we strengthen connections and bring people together. These partnerships are essential in creating spaces where individuals feel welcome, supported, and empowered to take part in building healthier communities.
Daily Programming
Daily programs are offered to clients and community members to improve their health and wellness, while having fun! Program facilitators and volunteers create a welcoming environment and a sense of belonging for everyone
